This case shows how the family courts approach cross-allegations of domestic abuse made by parents, as well as considering the potential impact of the alleged abuse on the parent and child. Dr Charlotte Proudman represented the mother in a transparency order case at a fact-finding hearing where the mother proved she was a victim of rape and domestic abuse perpetrated by the father (see, DG v KB [2023] EWFC 180).
